EXPERIENCED VOLUNTEER MECHANICS NEEDED FOR CHARITY BIKE PROGRAM
Orientation tour this Saturday, April 12 at 10am.
Hello Community Bikes Supporters!
Over the last 25 years, Community Bikes has provided thousands of safe, functional bikes to people experiencing homelessness, job seekers and low-income families. Almost all are referred to us by charitable agencies. To keep up with the ever growing demand, we are restarting our popular volunteer program shuttered by COVID 19. Former Shop Managers Michael Teller and Mark Swint will be guiding the repairs. Samantha Brown will be fielding information requests and applications.
Starting on Thursday, April 3, volunteers have been working on bikes from 9am to noon on Saturdays and Thursdays. Orientation tour open to the public will be held at 10am on Saturday, April 12. Future orientation tours for the public are yet to be determined, but feel free to ask for an individual appointment if you cannot make it this weekend and are possibly interested in volunteering your bike mechanic skills.
Please help spread the word!
For more information, please reach out to Samantha Brown at zwaction-bikes@sonic.net.
